This is a tool created by Pear Deck that allows the students to draw a picture and explain words the teacher has listed, and then they are pushed out to be seen and voted on by the class.  The top flashcards get made into a Quizlet, with a link for sharing out to students so they can use the stack the class created.  This is like Pear Deck and Flip Grid, it can be used as a station or whole group!

Wednesday, October 24 7:45 in the library

Pear Deck is a tool that allows you to push your presentation out onto student devices, and then the students can respond interactively to the questions and situations on their screen.  It is really easy and really powerful for getting feedback on how they are understanding their learning.  They can even use this in a self-paced mode, so you could use this at a station.

Now is the time to start using your Canvas account for more than a web site!  Learn how to post an assignment, keep it hidden until you want it displayed, and then- of course- how to access the completed work to grade/score!  This will streamline your workload, I promise!!!!!

If you would like to have help learning how to create a Google Form, this is for you!  Google Forms are great for collecting information you need from students or parents, like shirt sizes, finding who is bringing what to an event.

Google Forms are great for formative assessment- use as an Exit ticket or an assignment.  The system even allows for images to be used as part of the question or answer.

Canvas Beginners!  I am learning that it is better to help you individually instead of working in a group, so that you can get your needs addressed.  Please email me to make plans to get help with anything you are trying to do or make in Canvas.  Nothing is too small to discuss!

Email me if you want help in any topic and we can work something out!
